YOUTH OF EUROPE 'Youropia' project specific objectives are to help students develop those competencies and abilities necessary for their personal development and social integration and in strengthening their active European citizenship.
For accomplishing these objectives, partnership size allows partner countries to form mixed teams (teachers and students) who firstly will instrument questionnaires regarding the youth problems and interests (social and personal values, social threats and opportunities, professional needs and aspirations, personal and institutional relations, etc) in order to detect what are the young peoples most important domains of interest which will be presented in an online magazine integrally designed and written by the students under their teachers supervision.
Magazine sections will be jointly established by all the partners involved in the project. Next step will be that each partner will issue a number of the magazine, the last production of the magazine being to gather the best works across the schools within the partnership.
During the project meetings, the host partner will organise an activity entitled 'Reversed School' when the roles will be changed: teachers will be their students' trainees, attending courses, workshops and activities designed and ruled by the students. Both teachers and students will express their impressions, thoughts and conclusions in essays or reportages which will be gathered into a handbook and used to inform best practice.
Besides the online magazine, we will produce an E_Handbook; another final product will be a web site designed and managed by the students, this web-site being used as a depository for all project materials, minutes, picture gallery, magazines, and incorporate a student interactive page.
